|Title||Bayonet Belt and Belt Plate 10th Royal Veterans|
|Document source||Parks Canada|
These are extremely rare examples. The 10th Royal Veterans were raised specifically for service in Canada. The regiment served as detachments in Upper Canada, and saw service as part of the Right Division based at Fort Amherstburg (Fort Malden), and at Fort St Joseph. The unit participated in the important attack and capture of the US post at Mackinac at the outset of the War of 1812.
